Manipur reports 151 recoveries against 103 new cases Thursday

Both the two deceased persons were Imphal West. Both of them had co-morbidities and both of them had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2090.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, Manipur logged two Covid-related deaths, 103 positive cases (101 general population, 2 CAPF) and 151 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Both the two deceased persons were Imphal West. Both of them had co-morbidities and both of them had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2090.

Of the 101 persons from the general population who tested positive, 34 are from Imphal West, 16 Imphal East, 12 from Thoubal, eight from Bishnupur, seven from Kakching, six each from Ukhrul and Churachandpur, four from Kangpokpi, three from Tamenglong, two from Senapati and one each from Tengnoupal, Noney and Chandel. Altogether 2,059 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 5.0 %

Meanwhile, 151 persons recovered and were discharged, 120 of them from home isolation, 22 from CCCs, one five from JNIMS and eight from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.93 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 239 out of which 1, 32,055 have recovered, leaving 2,094 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 16, 2022, is 6,471, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26, 48, 734 (1st dose 14,91, 640, 2nd dose 11,04, 214) and precautionary dose 51,854.
