Manipur reports 15 new Covid positive cases Thursday

Of the 15 persons who tested positive, eight are from Churachandpur, three from Imphal East, two from Imphal West and one each from Bishnupur and Senapati.

Imphal: discharged In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday in Manipur, 15 persons tested positive while nine persons recovered. During the same period, there was no report of nay Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 15 persons who tested positive, eight are from Churachandpur, three from Imphal East, two from Imphal West and one each from Bishnupur and Senapati. Altogether, 464 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 3.2 %.

Meanwhile, nine persons, recovered, seven of them from home isolation and one each from SHRI and RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Monday stands at 98.40 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 654 of which 1, 37,418 have recovered leaving 90 active cases in the state.

As on August 24, 2022, 114 D-type oxygen cylinders and two B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 25, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which eight are occupied and 30 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which seven are occupied and 55 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 24, is 3,103 the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,64,375 1st dose 16,26,786, 2nd dose 13,00,204) and precautionary dose is 2,37,585.
