Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, Manipur reported 10 deaths due to Covid 19, 848 new positive cases from amongst the general population and 4 from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), as also 490, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 10 persons who expired on Thursday, include 3 from Imphal East, 2 each from Imphal West and Kakching, and 1 each from Thoubal and Kangpokpi and Churachandpur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1251.
Of the 848 persons (403males, 445 females) from the general population who tested positive, 276 are from Imphal West, 150 are from Imphal East, 97 from Kakching, 95 from Churachandpur, 85 from Thoubal, 66 from Bishnupur, 29 from Kangpokpi, 19 from Senapati, 14 from Chandel, 5 each Tamenglong and Jiribam, 4 from Tengnouupal and 1 from Kamjong.
Meanwhile, the 490 persons who recovered and were discharged, include 199 from home isolation 162 from CHICs 100 from CCCs 18 from RIMS and 11 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 89.66%. Due to various reasons, 469 persons are reported as discharged cases only on Friday. Therefore the total recovered cases is considered to be 959 after reconciliation with the IDSP team, home isolation team and hospitalization team as on July 9.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 76,032(General Population – 72,129, Central Security Personnel – 3,908). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 68,171(General Population – 64,378 Central Security Personnel – 3,793). The number of active cases is 6,610(General Population – 6,505 and Central Security Personnel – 105).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 2265Dtype Oxygen Cylinders and 419B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 442Dtype 108B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (117D, 12B), Chandel (33D, 5B), Churachandpur (38D, 0B), Senapati (40D, 0B), Thoubal (70D, 30B), Ukhrul (25D, 18B), Tamenglong (18D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 13B), Kamjong (3D, 2B), Kangpokpi (3D, 0B), Kakching (21D, 19B), and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 355D and 129B filled oxygen cylinders available Friday.
24,675 persons were vaccinated on June July 8, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 8,51,377(1st dose 7,59,195, 2nd dose 92,182).
The official release further informed that the number of patients admitted/adjusted as on July 8 against available bed strength in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS(238/224), JNIMS(208/286), I land Hospital(36/60), district hospitals(148/332), MSF(28/30, private hospitals(207/260), CCCs1104/2906). Grand total of admitted patients is 1964 and beds available is 2234.
