Manipur registers three more deaths Sunday

The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal East, Imphal West and Ukhrul. Out of the three one had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1846.

Imphal: Manipur reported three Covid related deaths, 210 positive cases out of which 205 are from the general population and five from the Central Armed Police Force in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday. During the same period, 166 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the home department.

The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus were from Imphal East, Imphal West and Ukhrul. Out of the three one had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1846.

Of the 205 positive cases among the general population, 104 are from Imphal West, 41 from Imphal East, 15 each from Bishnupur and Kamjong, nine from Churachandpur, seven from Thoubal, four from Chandel, two from Tengnoupla and one each from Kakching and Senapati. Altogether, 2,970 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.1 %

Of the 166 persons who were discharged, 38 are from home isolation, 116 from CCCs, 4 from CHICs, three from RIMS and five from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.69 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,19,884 out of which 1, 15,913 have recovered leaving 2,125 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on September 25, 2021, is 9,395 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 16,70,226 (1st dose 12,19,435, 2nd dose 4,50,791).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 26 is 544 out of which 440 are general beds while 104 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 26 is 3467 out of which 603 are occupied and 2869 are vacant.
