Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 158 positive cases (156 general population 2 CAPF) and 101 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the health department.
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Kamjong, and with this death, the cumulative death toll in the state rose to 1,855. The person who expired had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated for Covid.
Of the 156 persons who tested positive from the general population, 73 are from Imphal West, 34 from Imphal East, eight from Bishnupur, seven each from Ukhrul and Kamjong, four each from Kangpokpi and Pherzawl, two each from Chandel, Kakching, Senapati, and Thoubal and one from Tengnoupal.
Altogether, 2,320 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.6 %
Of the 102 persons who were discharged, 40 are from home isolation, 51 from CCCs, six from CHICs, four from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.58 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,20,584 out of which 1, 16,466 have recovered leaving 2,263 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on September 29, 2021, is 10,025 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,99,995 (1st dose 12,23,273, 2nd dose 4,76,723).
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 30 is 546 out of which 437 are general beds while 109 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 30 is 3467 out of which 646 are occupied and 2821 are vacant.
