Imphal: in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, Manipur reported one Covid related death, 83 new positive cases (79 general population, 4 CAPF) and 53vrecoveries, as per an official release from the health department.
The person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Chandel. He had co-morbidities and was vaccinated with 1st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,919.
Of the 79 persons who tested positive from the general population, 35 of them are from Imphal West, 25 from Imphal East, five from Bishnupur, four from Thoubal, two each from Kakching, Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal and one each from Senapati and Tamenglong.
Altogether, 2,064 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 4.0 %.
Meanwhile, 53 persons recovered and were discharged, eight of them from home isolation, 37 from CCCs, three from JNIMS and five from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.74 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 21,609 out of which 1,20,819 have recovered leaving 871 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 28, 2021, is 10,719, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,38,003 b(1st dose 12,46,395, 2nd dose 6,91,604).
