Imphal: Manipur recorded one Covid related death, 20 positive cases (19 general population and one CAPF) and five recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up 2 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who succumbed to Covid-19 is from Imphal West, he had co-morbidity and had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2004.
Nine of the 19 persons from the general population who tested positive are from Imphal West, seven from Imphal East and one each from Senpati, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi. Altogether, 1,790 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.1 %.
Meanwhile, five persons recovered and were discharged, four of them from CCCs and one from home isolation. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.22 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,843 out of which 1,23,610 have recovered, leaving 229 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on January 2, 2022, is 524, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,16,632 (1st dose 13,25,166, 2nd dose 9,91,466).
