Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, Manipur registered 4 Covid related deaths, 377 positive cases (370 general population, 7 CAPF) and 411 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus include 2 from Imphal East and 1 each from Thoubal and Imphal West. The cumulative death toll in the state with these 4 deaths now stands at 1,763.
Two of those who succumbed had co-morbidities while none of them had been vaccinated.
The 370 persons (200 males, 170 females) from the general population who tested positive include 245 from Imphal West, 67 from Bishnupur, 66 from Imphal East, 18 from Ukhrul, 17 from Churachandpur, 16 from Kangpokpi, 13 from Tamenglong, 8 from Kakching and Senapati, 7 from Thoubal, 5 from Chandel, 3 from Noney and Pherzawl and 1 from Jiribam.
Altogether, a total of 3,769 persons were tested accounting for a positivity rate of 10.0 % in the state on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 411 persons were discharged which include 156 from home isolation, 107 from CHICs, 128 from CCCs, 13 from JNIMS and 7 from RIMS.
The recovery rate in the state further improves to 95.23 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,11,975 (General Population – 1, 07,877, Central Security Personnel – 4,098). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 06,640 (General Population – 1, 02,577, Central Security Personnel – 4,063). The number of active cases is 3,572 (General Population – 3,542, Personnel – 30).
Altogether, 4,513 persons were vaccinated on August 24, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 14, 92,777 (1st dose 11,95,578, 2nd dose 3,13,199).
The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on August 25, is 443 which include 372 general beds and 71 ICU/HDU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on August 25 is 3547 out of which 818 are occupied and 2729 are vacant.
