Imphal: Manipur’s Covid-19 situation has been holding steady in the last few days with deaths hovering between 2 to 4, positivity rate around 8 to 9 and recovery rate at around 95 per cent.
In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, Manipur reported 4 Covid-19 related deaths, 185 new positive cases and 261 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus includes 2 from Imphal East and 1 each from Imphal West and Bishnupur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,802. 3 of the deceased had co-morbidities while 2 had been vaccinated with the 1st dose and 1 with the 2nd dose.
The 185 persons (85 males, 100 females) from the general population who tested positive include 68 from Imphal West,35 from Imphal East, 14 from Ukhrul, 12 Kakching, 10 each from Bishnupur and Noney, 8 each from Chandel and Tamenglong, 7 from Churachandpur, 5 from Senapati, 4 from Thoubal, 2 from Kangpokpi and 1 each from Kamjong and Pherzawl.
Altogether, 1,998 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 9.3 %.
Meanwhile, 261 persons were discharged which include 109 from home isolation, 76 from CCCs, 57 from CHICs, 11 from RIMS and 8 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.69 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,15,584 (General Population – 1, 11,449, Central Security Personnel – 4,135). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 10,602 (General Population – 1, 06,501, Central Security Personnel – 4,101). The number of active cases is 3,180 (General Population – 3,151, Personnel – 29).
The total number of doses administered on September 5, 2021, is 1,318 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,61,759 (1st dose 11,94,192, 2nd dose 3,67,567)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 6 is 544 out of which 448 are general beds while 95 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 6 is 3467 out of which 677 are occupied and 2790 are vacant.
