Imphal: Manipur reported 14 Covid related deaths, 753 new positive cases and 1063 recoveries, in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
With Tuesday’s new positive cases, the state has crossed the one lakh cumulative positive cases at 1,00,625.
The 14 persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic include five each from Imphal West and Imphal East, two from Bishnupur and one each from Churachandpur and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,592.
Of the 14 persons who succumbed to Covid 19, five of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose.
The 749 persons(373 males, 375 females) who tested positive from amongst the general population include 246 from Imphal West, 164 from Imphal East, 68 from Bishnupur, 63 from Churachandpur 46 from Thoubal, 38 from Senapati, 27 from Kakching, 21 from Kangpokpi, 20 from Kamjong, 13 from Tamenglong, eight from Pherzawl, six from Tengnoupal, two from Ukhrul and one from Noney and Jiribam.
Altogether 5,476 persons were tested on Monday amounting for a positivity rate of 13.8%.
Meanwhile, of the 1,063 persons who were discharged, 426 are from home isolation, 348 from CHICs, 231 from CCCs, 30 from JNIMS and 28 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 88.96% on Thursday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,00,625(General Population – 96,632, Central Security Personnel – 3,993). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 89,543(General Population – 85,607, Central Security Personnel – 3,936). The number of active cases is 9,490(General Population – 9,438, Personnel – 52).
Altogether, 13,968 were vaccinated on August 2, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 13,37,526(1st dose 11,17,981, 2nd dose 2,19,545).
The total number of vacant beds available in the state as on August 3 is 101 which include 74 general beds and 22 ICU/HDU beds, the release added.
