Imphal: Manipur recorded 869 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the last 24 hours, which took the state’s tally to 50,751, the health bulletin from state government showed on Monday.
The state recorded 14 fatalities, pushing the death toll to 807, according to the bulletin. One person each at District Hospitals Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Babina, four each at Shija Hospital, RIMS and three at JNIMS expired.
Manipur reported a slight dip in the number of new cases compared to the number of new cases reported on Sunday. The dip comes amid a pick up in the number of Covid-19 tests. Manipur had tested 9207 people between May 28 and May 29 but conducted 11293 tests between May 29 and May 30.
Monday is the first time the daily cases count has fallen below 1,000-mark after two days as the state recorded 1007 fresh cases and 1032 fresh cases on May 29 and May 30 respectively.
It also recorded 546 fresh recoveries which took the tally of recovered people to 41,153. The state’s share of active cases also fell by 309 as active cases on Monday stood at 8,791. The recovery rate is 81.08 per cent.
As per latest information Manipur vaccinated only 182 people in the last 24 hours.
A total of 1301 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 550 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur during the last 24 hours.
