Imphal: Amid hunger strikes staged by Dhanamanjuri University students demanding the appointment of regular staff and key officials, the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced the recruitment of 22 principals for government colleges in Manipur, including positions at the Hindi Teacher’s Training College (HTTC) and D.M. College of Teacher’s Education (DMCTE).
The registrar of the MPSC has advised interested candidates to visit the MPSC website for more details.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Biren Singh held a meeting on Wednesday with principals and faculty members from various government and government-aided colleges at his office.
During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of fostering an academic atmosphere in the state’s educational institutions. He reiterated that students must adhere to the guideline requiring at least 75% class attendance to be eligible for semester examinations and scholarships.
“This regulation is not just a mandate but a step towards instilling a sense of discipline, responsibility, and punctuality among our students,” the Chief Minister stated.
