Imphal: Manipur Police seized 4.046 kg of drugs from one Mangkhokam Misao of BPO Phaipijang Village Dimapur Sadar, Nagaland, on Saturday at Senapati district.
A team of Senapati police conducted mobile frisking and checking near Khongnem Thana along NH-2, and a car bearing NL 07 CA 2459 was signalled to stop. During the checking, four packages of suspected opium were found concealed under the seat of the car.
The four packages were weighed in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and a detained person, and each package weighed 1.012 kg, 1.012 Kg, 1.011 Kg, and 1.011 kg, for in total weight of 4.046 Kg.
The detained individual and seized items were handed over to Senapati police for further investigation.
A regular FIR case under FIR No. 21(7) 2023 SPT-PS u/s 21(C)/60(3) NDPS Act was registered for further investigation.
