Imphal: Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, along with other dignitaries, paid floral tributes to Jana Neta Hijam Irabot at Hijam Irabot Square on Monday.

Speaking at the event, CM Biren Singh called on the people of Manipur to unite and work towards realizing Hijam Irabot’s vision for a better state.

The Chief Minister also provided an update on the recent abduction of three individuals by Kuki militants, confirming that one had been released, while two remained in captivity. He assured the public that both the State and Central governments are closely monitoring the situation around the clock and are making every effort to ensure the safe return of the remaining captives.

Singh added that the Director General of Police, Manipur, had been dispatched to the location, expressing optimism for a positive resolution.

The event was attended by Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, senior civil and police officials, and other prominent figures.
