Manipur: One more succumbs, cumulative tally at 1,827 Thursday

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Thoubal, with this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,927. The person who expired had co-morbidities and had taken not Covid vaccine.

Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid related death, 58 new positive cases (57 general population, 1 CAPF) and 57 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the health department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Thoubal, with this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,927. The person who expired had co-morbidities and had taken not Covid vaccine.

Of the 57 persons who tested positive from the general population, 24 of them are from Imphal West,  17 from Imphal East, three each from Ukhrul and Thoubal, two each from Bishnupur, Senapati and, Tengnoupal and one each from Chandel, Kakching, Kamjong, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong.

Altogether, 1,508 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 3.8 %.

Meanwhile, 57 persons recovered and were discharged, sic of them from home isolation, 35 from CCCs, and 11 from JNIMS and five from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,957 out of which 1,21,326 have recovered leaving 745 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on November 3, 2021, is 8,372, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,97,230 (1st dose 12,52,613, 2nd dose 7,45,217).
