Imphal: In continuation of the steps taken up by Health & IPR Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh to start agricultural activities in the foothills of Konthoujam Assembly Constituency with the arrival of monsoon in the state, Minister has revisited foothills in his Assembly Constituency and inspected cultivable sites of the area, Monday.
During his visit, the Minister met and interacted with the farmers and discussed the feasibility of carrying out agricultural practices in the areas. He also reviewed the security measures taking place in the areas where cultivation activities are going to be taken up.

During his visit, the Minister assured the farmers that possible steps will be taken up to solve the problems being faced by the farmers. Resectioning works of the irrigation canals are also underway, the minister added.
Minister Ranjan also advised the security personnel including Assam Rifles, Gorkha Regiment and state armed forces to take care of the villagers and protect them.
The visited sites include Kangmong Meisnam, Langoljam Loukon, Hegrujam Loukon, Keithelmanbi Moidangpok Loukon etc.
