New Delhi: Manipur’s Textiles, Commerce & Industry and Cooperation Minister, Nemcha Kipgen Wednesday called on Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Prahlad Singh Patel at his residence here.
While highlighting that fruits, vegetables, and spices of Manipur are having high quality and exportable unique value in the international market today, the State Industry Minister apprised the Union Minister for special consideration for the development of Food Processing Industries in Manipur.
The Minister also proposed for value addition infrastructure to cover all the Districts of State to meet the huge demand and market of these fruits and vegetables in various parts of the world.
During the visit, Kipgen also handed over a proposal to Patel initiated by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh for the development of infrastructure in the food processing industry.
Commissioner, of Textiles, Commerce & Industry, Pradeep Kumar Jha accompanied the Minister during the visit.
