Manipur media to observe one day cease work

Imphal: A meeting of the Editors, members of EGM, MHJU has decided to observe a one day cease work to protest the non-clearance of government advertisement bills to various media houses in Manipur.

Following the decision there will be no news bulletin and discussion program for electronic media on December 16, 2021 and no publication on December 17, 21, if no visible action is seen from the government side, the media will start boycotting news related to Ministers followed by government and the ruling parties. 

The meeting also appealed to the government to take up the matter immediately to save the Manipur Media, said press note jointly signed by EGM and MHJU.
