Manipur logs two deaths, seven positive cases, 11 recoveries

Of the seven persons who tested positive from the general population, three are from Imphal West and one each Thoubal, Churachandpur, Tamenglong and Ukhrul.

Imphal: Manipur reported two Covid-related deaths, seven new positive cases and 11 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The two persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal West and Thoubal respectively. Both of them had co-morbidities, one of them had been vaccinated with the 1st dose while the other one had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2120.

Of the seven persons who tested positive from the general population, three are from Imphal West and one each Thoubal, Churachandpur, Tamenglong and Ukhrul. 

A total of 876 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of.8 % 

Meanwhile, eleven persons recovered and were discharged, all of them from home isolation. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.37 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 035 out of which 1, 34, 807 have recovered leaving 108 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on March 16, is 2,683, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,62,272 (1st dose 15,25, 438, 2nd dose 11,72, 763) and precautionary dose 64,071.
