Manipur logs three deaths, 39 new cases Sunday

Of the three persons who expired, two had co-morbidities; one of them had taken the 2nd dose of Covid vaccine while the other two were not vaccinated.

Imphal: Manipur saw three more Covid related death in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday taking the cumulative death toll 1,934. During the same period, there were 39 new positive cases (37 from the general population and 2 from CAPF) while 42 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the health department.

The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal West, Imphal East and Kakching. Of the three persons who expired, two had co-morbidities; one of them had taken the 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine while the other two were not vaccinated.

Of the 37 persons who tested positive from the general population, 16 of them are from Imphal West,  12 from Imphal East, three each from Chandel, Thoubal and Ukhrul and one each from Churachandpur and Senapati.

Altogether, 1,352 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 2.3 %.

Meanwhile, 42 persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from home isolation, 31 from CCCs, one from JNIMS and four from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,086 out of which 1,21,457 have recovered leaving 695 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on November 6, 2021, is 864, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,04,538 (1st dose 12,52,873, 2nd dose 7,51,665).
