Manipur logs three deaths, 322 positive cases, 337 recoveries Wednesday

All three of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the 2nd dose while one had taken the 1st dose of Covid vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2053.

Imphal: Manipur logged three Covid-related deaths, 322 positive cases (319 general population three CAPF) and 337 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus, two are from Imphal East and one from Imphal West. All three of them had co-morbidities; two of them had taken the 2nd dose while one had taken the 1st dose of Covid vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2053.

Of the 319 persons from the general population who tested positive, 113 are from Imphal West, 70 from Imphal East, 30 from Thoubal, 29 from Churachandpur, 19 from Bishnupur, 15 from Kakching, 10 from Tamenglong, eight from Chandel, six from Kangpokjpi, five each from Ukhrul and Noney, four from Senapati,  three from Kamjong and two from Tengnoupal . Altogether, 2,116 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 15.2 %.

Meanwhile, 337 persons recovered and were discharged, 241 from home isolation, 49 from CCCs, 15 from RIMS and 32 from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.52 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 33,905 out of which 1,27,909 have recovered, leaving 3,943 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on Feb 1, 2022, is 10,036, the cumulative number of doses administered is 25,20,471 (1st dose 14,34,968, 2nd dose 10,53,338) and precautionary 30,165.

There is total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 61 are occupied while 239 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 47 are occupied and 143 are vacant.
