Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid related death, 16 new positive cases and 23 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who expired is from Kakching, he had no co-morbidities and was fully vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2114
Of the 16 persons from the general population who tested positive, four each are from Imphal East and Bishnupur, three from Imphal West, two each from Thoubal and Kakching and one from Kangpokpi. Altogether 1,126 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.4 %
Meanwhile, 23 persons recovered and were discharged, 15 of them from home isolation and six from CCCs and two from RIMS.
The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.26 %.
