Manipur logs 77 Covid positive cases Thursday

During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 25 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Imphal: Manipur once again logged high positive cases of 77 in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm on Wednesday.

During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 25 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department. 

Of the 77 persons who tested positive from the general population, 46 are from Imphal West, 12 from Imphal East, four from Kakching, three each from Bishnupur, Chandel and Thoubal, two each from  Kangpokpi and Ukhrul and one each from Churachandpur and Senapati. Altogether, 568 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 13.6 %. 

Of the 25 persons who recovered, 19 are from home isolation, three from Shija Hospital, two from RIMS and one from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Tuesday stands at 98.23 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 690 out of which 1, 35, 250 have recovered leaving 320 active cases in the state.

As of July 13, 2022, 99 D-type oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 14, 2022, is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 14 beds and all 14 are occupied. RIMS has a total of 47 beds out of which 13 are occupied and 34 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on July 13, is 2,671, the cumulative number of doses administered is 29,92,986 (1st dose 16,00,547, 2nd dose 12,69,466) and precautionary dose is 1,22,973.
