Imphal: Manipur reported two Covid related deaths, 135 new positive cases (134 general population, 1 CAPF) and 107 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, as per an official release from the health department.
One of the people who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West while the other one is from Ukhrul. . Both of them had co-morbidities and none of them had been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,889
Of the 107 persons who tested positive from the general population, 80 are from Imphal West, 31 from Imphal East, 11 from Ukhrul, four from Bishnupur, three from Thoubal, two from Kangpokpi, and one each from Kakching, Senapati, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal..
Altogether, 2,646 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 5.2 %
Meanwhile, of the 107 persons who recovered and were discharged, 16 are from home isolation, 77 from CCCs and 14 from JNIMS. The recovery rate on Tuesday stands at 97.28 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,363 out of which 1,19,015 have recovered leaving 1,459 active cases.

The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 13 is 547 out of which 446 are general beds while 101 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available at various CCCs of the state on October 13 is 3,172 out of which 507 are occupied while 2665 are vacant.
