Manipur logs 11 positive cases, 12 recoveries Friday

As of August 18, 2022, 28 -type oxygen cylinders and 16  B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

Imphal: Manipur reported 11 Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm on Friday. During the same period, 12 persons recovered while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the11  persons who tested positive, four each are from Imphal West and Churachandpur, two from Imphal East, and one from Ukhrul. Altogether, 407 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.7 %.

Meanwhile, 12 persons recovered, eight from home isolation and four from SHRI. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.38 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 586 of which 1, 37,332 have recovered leaving 111  active cases in the state.

As of August 18, 2022, 28 -type oxygen cylinders and 16  B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as of August 19, 2022, is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 10 are occupied and 28 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which eight are occupied and 54 are vacant.

 The total number of doses administered on August 18, is 2,204, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,52,498 (1st dose 16,24,594, 2nd dose 12,96,252) and precautionary dose is 2,31,552.
