Manipur is changing for the better: Minister Dr Ranjan

Imphal: Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh, Minister of Health & IPR, has said that the state is changing for the better. The Minister was speaking as Chief Guest on the occasion of the 3/3 Epidemiology Workshop for Public Health Workforce organized here Tuesday.

The Minister maintained that the state has improved in many sectors during the past few years under the able leadership of the present Chief Minister of Manipur, N. Biren Singh. The road connectivity, telecommunications system, tourism prospects, law and order situation, health system, etc. have all improved. The uniqueness of the state has also attracted outsiders. Outsiders have created the opportunity for people to visit and explore the state’s beauty, he added.

Ranjan stated that during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the country was hardly affected. But gradually, with the sincere efforts of the field workers and dedicated medical staff, the situation of the pandemic could be controlled in the country. A positive change can be seen during the recent past particularly in the north eastern region.People in the state can have a free mind. He maintained that this implies the state marching ahead.

Additional Chief Secretary, V. Vumlunmang, IAS, Dr. Atul Goel, Director General of Health Services, GOI, Dr. Kh. Sasheekumar Mangang, Director Health Services, Manipur, Dr. Somorjit Ningombam also graced the inaugural occasion.
