Manipur: IPR Minister pledges to protect state’s integrity

The stand of the government to eliminate those miscreants who are trying to hamper the peaceful atmosphere of the state will remain unchanged, he added.

Imphal: Minister, Information & Public Relations (IPR) Dr. S. Ranjan Singh has said that all possible means will be taken up to protect the unity and integrity of the state, Manipur.

The stand of the government to eliminate those miscreants who are trying to hamper the peaceful atmosphere of the state will remain unchanged, he added. 

Speaking to media persons Sunday at the conference hall of the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, minister Ranjan said that the turmoil which has been occurring in Manipur since 3rd of May, 2023 has left a distressed atmosphere in the state. The government is taking up steps to bring back normalcy in the state. He appealed for the need of public cooperation with the government.

Ranjan said that there is apprehension of the public all over the state due to the ongoing crisis in the state. Protecting the integrity of the state is most important in this juncture. The government always stands to fulfill the wishes of the people. The cruel act of the miscreants will never be compromised. 

He also reaffirmed that the posts of the MLAs and Ministers are not more important than the integrity and unity of the state. He will continue to work with the people to protect the unity and integrity of the state, Shri Ranjan maintained.
