Imphal: Representatives of the Dhanamanjuri University Students Union, led by President Irom Dimocha Singh and six others, met with Manipur Governor Miss Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Sunday evening to submit a memorandum detailing the issues faced by the students at the university.

The students highlighted several longstanding problems since the university’s establishment. Chief among these is the absence of a regular Registrar and Controller of Examinations, which has led to delays in conducting examinations, adversely impacting students’ academic careers.

Additionally, they pointed out a significant manpower shortage at all levels, further disrupting the academic calendar.

The students requested the Governor’s intervention to address these issues in the best interest of the student community. Governor Uikey, expressing serious concern over the grievances, assured the representatives that she would address their concerns promptly by organizing a meeting with the relevant authorities.
