Manipur Governor briefed on developmental programmes taken up by State govt

Given the prevailing situation in Manipur, Kulkarani Devi further highlighted the initiatives of the government to rehabilitate the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) through various schemes of the state government.

Imphal: Director, Planning, Government of Manipur, N. Kulkarani Devi, along with the two officials called on the Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan on Monday and briefed her on the various developmental programmes taken up by the State Government. 

Given the prevailing situation in Manipur, she further highlighted the initiatives of the government to rehabilitate the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) through various schemes of the state government. 

Governor while enquiring on plans for Vikshit Bharat implementation in Manipur, suggested considering the present situation of the state and taking up steps for economic sustainability of the state. Governor Anusuiya also stressed the need to focus on the plans for women, youths and children in relief camps.

A team of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Manipur led by its Secretary, R.K. Radhamohon Singh called on the Governor of Manipur, Miss Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan Monday evening and handed over Akshat which has been sent from Ayodhya as a mark of traditional invitation for inauguration of Ram Janmabhumi Mandir at Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.

In observance of the joyous Makar Sankranti festival, Governor Miss Anusuiya Uikey took part in a heartwarming gesture at Raj Bhavan Manipur on Monday. 

As part of the celebration, she offered prayers to Sun God and performed a commendable act by engaging in Gau Seva (serving the Cow),  embracing the spirit of the occasion and symbolizing her dedication to cultural celebrations and community engagement.
