Manipur Congress to support Rahul Gandhi

Imphal: Congress workers came out in the street on Thursday shouting slogans after a court in Gujarat served a two years term to Rahul Gandhi.

Congress spokesperson Th Bhupenda Meitei said the government is trying to silence the voice of Rahul Gandhi .

Rahul believes in the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and he will continue to speak for the people even if the entire government agencies are working against him , he said.

The Congress party will stand with Rahul, the only leader who stands for truth and who is questioning the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Adani group, he added.

The present government can’t intimidate and silence Rahul as he comes from a family which has seen two persons sacrificing their lives for the nation, he added.

He also condemned the police for stopping the solidarity rally .
