Manipur CM extends Eid-Ul Fitr greetings

Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that "followers of Islam believe that the Holy Quran was first revealed to Prophet Mohammad during the holy month of Ramzan and consider the month auspicious".

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister, N Biren Singh greeted the people of the state, especially, “Muslim brothers and sisters, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr”.

In his message, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that “followers of Islam believe that the Holy Quran was first revealed to Prophet Mohammad during the holy month of Ramzan and consider the month auspicious”.

“Eid-Ul-Fitr is usually celebrated on the second day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar, after the sighting of the new moon by breaking their fast. Celebrated with joy and marked with festivity, Eis-Ul-Fitr is observed by offering prayer at mosques, eating delicious dishes, doing charity, and exchanging gifts with friends and relatives”.

N Biren Singh also prayed to Allah to guide his followers along every path, filling their lives with peace, health, and happiness.
