Manipur Chief Minister applauds youth chosen for Agniveer

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on Thursday felicitated 22 youths of the state who got selected for Agniveer 2022–2023 at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here.

Interacting with the Agniveer recruits, Biren Singh expressed words of motivation, adding that the new recruits had the opportunity to serve the country.

He advised them to render their service together for the nation as one, irrespective of the communities they belong to. 

He also told them that after they finished their time as Agniveers, they would be given job opportunities with the state government.

The Chief Minister also extended words of appreciation to Brigadier Bikram Saini and his team for their initiatives to provide pre-recruitment training to the youths and make their way to the selection.

During the felicitation programme, the Chief Minister handed over the appointment letter to the selected youths for Agniveer 2022–2033.

Biren Singh, who was attending another event, proposed the opening of a permanent aero sports facility after exploring its feasibility and finding a suitable location.
