Manipur: Assam Rifles hosts ex-servicemen meet

Imphal: The Assam Rifles organized Ex-Servicemen (ESM) meets at Nambol in Bishnupur district and Haibung in Kangpokpi district, Manipur, as part of its ongoing efforts to honour and support its esteemed former soldiers and their families. These gatherings aimed to celebrate camaraderie and reinforce the strong bonds between Assam Rifles and its retired personnel while addressing their welfare needs.

Over 50 ex-servicemen, accompanied by their families, participated in the events. The meets provided an opportunity for meaningful interactions, where veterans voiced their concerns and sought assistance. These interactive sessions facilitated discussions on grievances and explored ways to address them, ensuring that every veteran felt heard and valued.

In addition to the discussions, a comprehensive medical camp was organized, offering essential health check-ups and medical advice for the veterans and their families. This initiative highlights the Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to the well-being of its veterans, placing a priority on their health and happiness.

The events concluded with a communal lunch, fostering a sense of warmth and unity among the ex-servicemen, their families, and Assam Rifles personnel. These ESM meets not only celebrate the contributions of our ex-servicemen but also reaffirm the Assam Rifles’ commitment to their welfare. Upholding the organization’s motto of “Sentinels of the Northeast,” Assam Rifles continues to stand by those who have bravely served the nation, according to a press release from the PRO, IGAR(S).
