Aurangabad/Mumbai: Leader of opposition in state assembly council Ambadas Danve on Wednesday written a letter to the State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and demanded immediate postponement of the Maharashtra Agricultural Services Main Examination.
In his letter Mr Danve stated that ,The new Syllabus of Agricultural Service Main Examination conducted under the Maharashtra Gazetted Technical Services Joint Examination conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has been published on the website of the Commission on February 11, 2022. This new syllabus is causing disadvantage and injustice to the graduate candidates of Agricultural Engineering.
Since January 25, 2023, protest has been going on in all the four agricultural universities of Maharashtra.Taking cognizance of this agitation, Maharashtra Agricultural Service Main Exam (Result) Interview 2021 and Maharashtra Agricultural Service Main Exam 2022 should be postponed.
In the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, an immediate recruitment process of Agricultural Engineers should be implemented by qualifying agricultural engineering degree students.
In the letter, Danve also said that the above demands of the Maharashtra State Agricultural Engineering Association should be considered sympathetically and justice should be given to establish a separate Directorate of Agricultural Engineering for the state,he added.
