Gangtok: Minister of Education,Sports,Youth Affairs,Kunga Nima Lepacha,inaugurated the new Library of SikkimAkademi,here on Monday at Manan Kendra.
The Minister highlighted the importance of Libraries.”Libraries are really important in our life. We have to gain knowledge,do reference work and access annals of history,for all these libraries are needed. And Libraries can’t run without funds,’ said Lepcha.
Lepcha assured help and support in future also.’ Everything needs to be put in black and white to the Govt,for consideration, including demand for land,Akademi’s own infrastructure and funds,’
Minister appreciated the efforts of the authorities of Sikkim Akademi preserving culture ,languages,Arts and literature of Sikkim, despite fund constraints, brought to his notice by them.
