Kochi: BJP Kerala Unit Vice President Dr K S Radhakrishnan has received a death threat call on his mobile phone allegedly from an ISIS terrorist, on Friday.
The BJP leader received the call from a number, 971556443094, threatening to kill him. The unidentified person claiming an ISIS terrorist, made the call at 1132 hours, the BJP leader said in a release here on Saturday.
There were two more attempts to contact the BJP leader from the UAE based number.
Following which the state BJP Vice President filed a complaint with the Ernakulam City Police Commissioner through e-mail.
This was the third threat received by Mr Radhakrishnan from the ISIS in the past few years.
Earlier, he was given a police protection when he received such a threat during the tenure of Kodiyeri Balakrishnan as the Home Minister of Kerala.
He was also a former Chairman of Kerala Public Service Commission.
It may be noted that a previous complaint from the BJP leader regarding the ISIS death threat filed before ADGP Manoj Abraham did not find any breakthrough, sources said.
