Keep Campus Of Educational Institutes Neat And Clean: Minister Rajen

Imphal: Education Minister S Rajen Singh has instructed all the concerned to keep compounds of educational institutes neat and clean. Minister was speaking to the media during a visit to Dhanamanjuri University, DMU.

 Rajen maintained that educational institutes are temples of learning for the students. A clean mind and holistic wisdom can be acquired only from a neat and clean environment. Concerned authorities of the institute should be responsible to maintain the surroundings neat and clean. This is a way to attract students to the respective institutes, the minister added.

He informed that the ongoing constructions in the DMU campus will be completed as soon as possible. Some blocks in the campus will be ready for inauguration in the month of October this year. Necessary instructions were also issued to the concerned agency for speedy completion of the construction.

Clarifying to the media regarding the admission issue in the DM College of Teachers’ Education, Rajen said that there are complaints from some sections of students and guardians stating that the recent admission process in this college was not free and fair. As a result, the department has ordered a probe whether there was any manipulation. The matter will be settled very soon, he added. 

 During the inspection visit, Rajen was accompanied by VC DMU Prof Rajmuhon Singh, L Nevedita Devi, IAS, Principal D.M. College of Science, M Bhubaneshori Devi, Chief Engineer, Education Engineering Wing, Saratchandra Singh and other officials.
