New Delhi: Director Sanjay Raina’s ‘Kashmiri Pandits: The Invisible Refugees’ is all set to be screened at Lift-Off’s Filmmaker Sessions Online (FSO) Film Festival to be held at Pinewood Studios, England, UK from May 1-15.

Produced by Manav Films, this nine-minute documentary film tells the story of the Kashmiri Pandits’ pain, struggle, and fight to save their own identity.

The visuals and stock footage speak of the moments of losing their homes, loved ones, and the feeling of being in exile in their own motherland. As a Kashmiri Pandit himself, Sanjay hopes this film will speak for itself and bring attention to the plight of his people.

“Kashmiri Pandits: The Invisible Refugees 30 year’s In Exile” is a winner of six international and national awards, two nomination for Best Editing, one nomination for Best Documentary Short Film, one Nomination for Outstanding Documentary Film and two Honorable Mentions, one Top finalist Award, one Semi Finalist Selection and 19 Official Selections across the Globe.

Raina’s ‘Who Am I’ is also a part of Lift-Off’s Filmmaker Sessions Online Film Festival, which will be available for online screening from May 1-15th via Vimeo On-Demand.

‘Who Am I’ is a powerful and moving film that showcases the struggles and triumphs of the Kashmiri Pandit community. The film is an experimental piece that weaves together real-time stories, interviews with poets, social activists, media professionals, and actual visuals of literature, culture, language, and traditions collected over a period of time. The result is a heartfelt and authentic portrayal of the Kashmiri Pandit community’s struggles with identity and their efforts to revive their language, culture, traditions, and literature.

Lift-Off’s Filmmaker Sessions Online Film Festival provides a platform for true indie filmmakers to showcase their talent and connect with audiences from all over the world.
