Just two persons test positive in Manipur Tuesday

The number of active cases is 30(general population 29 and CAPF 1). The recovery rate is 98.62%.

Imphal: Continuing with the improving trend as far as the Covid-19 pandemic in Manipur is concerned, there was no report of any deaths in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday. During the same period, only two positive cases were reported from the general population while one person from home isolation recovered, per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The two persons who tested positive from the general population are both females, one of whom is a resident of Imphal East and the other a resident of Imphal West. All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release continued.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,298(General Population — 25,864 and Central Security Personnel — 3,434). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,895(General Population — 25,466 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 30(general population 29 and CAPF 1). The recovery rate is 98.62%.

As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 8, is 2142 and the cumulative vaccination number is 70609, the release added.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 30516 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse event following immunization till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them have now fully recovered.
