Just 8 positive cases Monday and no deaths in Manipur

Imphal: There was no report of any deaths in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Manipur. The cumulative death toll remains at 373. During the same period, 8 females from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 8 persons who tested positive from the general population include 4 Imphal west and 1 each from Kakching, Imphal East Bishnupur and Chandel.

Meanwhile, 7 persons recovered and were discharged, 6 from Home Isolation and 1 from CAPF.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,204 (General Population — 25,773 and Central Security Personnel — 3,431). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,755 (General Population — 25, 339 and CAPF— 3,416 ). The number of active cases is 76 (general population 65 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.46%.

Total number of those vaccinated Saturday is 2930 and the cumulative vaccination number is 25359.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 21004This include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vac, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 41 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
