Imphal: As a part of the 75th- anniversary celebration of the country’s independence, seek to encourage people to exhibit the tricolor with almost no restrictions, a campaign to motivate the people to hoist the tricolor in their homes for three days -from August 13 to 15, 2022, Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy Monday organized a celebration of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at the Yaipha Lamjing Lup Community Hall, Pishumthong, Ningom Leirak, Imphal.
The function was attended by Director, Youth Affairs and Sports Director, T.Phulen Meitei; Cooperator, Imphal Municipal Council, Oinam Romeo Singh; President Yaipha Lamjing Lup, Pishumthong Ningom Leirak Shri Oinam Chaoba Singh, and Director, JNMDA, Pukhrambam Bilash Singh as chief guest, guests of honor and president respectively.
Speaking as chief guest, T. Phulen said that the constitution guaranteed fundamental rights and duties. He appealed to the people that as responsible citizens, every household must hoist the tricolor in their homes as part of the celebration of India’s 75th year of independence.
Cooperator, Imphal Municipal Council, Oinam Romeo Singh; President Yaipha Lamjing Lup, Pishumthong Ningom Leirak, Oinam Chaoba Singh and Director, JNMDA Pukhrambam Bilash Singh also spoke during the function.
Later, Lai-Haraoba, Pung Cholom, Dhol-Dholak, Nupa Pala, and Vasanta Raas were performed by the artiste of JNMDA, Imphal. Shree Shree Radha Govinda Nupi Holi Dol Haobam Marak also presented Nupi Holi during the program.
Local people and some officials of JNMDA attended the function.
