Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) here has bagged the sixth rank in the Medical category in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.
According to a Jipmer release here on Saturday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the NIRF rankings 2022 at a function held in New Delhi on Friday.
NIRF is a framework established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to rank teaching and research institutions and Universities in the country.
This framework evaluates institutions/universities on parameters such as teaching, learning, and resources, research and professional practice, and graduation outcome, among other things.
Jipmer got the eighth rank in NIRF rankings 2021 and in addition, it had been ranked 54th overall among all the universities.
The Institute has scored 100 percent in the faculty-student ratio with emphasis on permanent faculty, metrics for university examinations, and facilities for physically challenged students.
