Imphal: A delegation from Jesus Calls Mission, a Global Ministry of Prayer, met with Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Losii Dikho, at his office in the Ministers’ Block, Civil Secretariat, Mantripukhri today.
The visit was led by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, who is also the Chancellor of Karunya University, as part of the Mission’s initiative to unite churches and church leaders and to pray for the people of Manipur, seeking peace, unity and the well-being of the state.
During the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister, Losii Dikho shared his concerns over the prevailing situation in Manipur and the challenges arising from the prolonged violence. He also highlighted the efforts being made by the Naga leaders towards restoring peace and stability.
Losii Dikho stated that the Government of Manipur, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Shri Yumnam Khemchand Singh, is making concerted efforts to restore peace, normalcy and progress in the state. He expressed hope that the situation would improve and peace would return soon.
Dr. Paul Dhinakaran shared the vision of Jesus Calls Ministry and its continued commitment to serving individuals, families and communities through prayer and compassionate outreach. He expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Chief Minister for the meeting and offered prayers for peace, harmony and well-being of the people of Manipur.
As part of the visit, an intensive prayer session led by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran was held, seeking healing and reconciliation among the people, an end to violence and the restoration of peace and normalcy in Manipur. Prayers were also offered for the authorities and all those working towards peace, seeking God’s guidance and strength in their efforts to bring lasting peace and prosperity to Manipur.
Samuel Dhinakaran, Vice Chairman, Jesus Calls Ministry; Awangbow Newmai, MLA, 52-Tamei Assembly Constituency (ST) and Convenor, Naga Legislators’ Forum; Kajaigai Gangmei, Director, Department of Relief and Disaster Management, Government of Manipur and Guangmei Gangmei of Rock Church Ministry were among those present at the meeting.
