Bijapur: A jawan was killed and another injured in Naxal attack in the Kutru area in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur on Tuesday.
Police said Naxals have implanted Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the area.
The device went off when head-constable Thalinder Kumar Nayak stepped on it inadvertently.
The injured constable Amar Thakur has been rushed to the district hospital here for treatment.
Additional police force has been sent to the area.
