Jaipur: Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha will organise a special session of the Mahasabha on October 28 to ensure proper representation in society by the major political parties Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the assembly elections to be held on November 25 in the state.

Mahasabha President Rajaram Meel said Mahasabha officials from all over the state will participate in it, and important decisions will be taken regarding the role of the Jat community in the assembly elections.

He said the Jat community is being continuously neglected by the Congress Party, and in the 2018 Assembly elections, the Congress Party gave six fewer tickets to the Jat community as compared to the 2013 Assembly elections.

He said if the Jat community is not given proper representation, then society will be forced to take tough decisions.
He alleged that in the last five years, every effort has been made to marginalise the Jat community, be it in relation to the delay in removing the anomaly in the OBC reservation or to compensate for the loss caused by that anomaly.

Regarding ignoring the demand, it is continuously being seen that those who conspire against society are being encouraged.

Mr. Meel said the Jat community constitutes 20 percent of the population in the state, and the community has always been with Congress.

He said in the Jat Mahakumbh held recently, our main demand was that 40–40 seats should be given to the Jat community by both main parties on the basis of their participation formula.

He said despite the continuous increase in seats by the BJP, the full quota is not being given.

A session of the General Assembly will be organised to discuss all these issues.
