Jan Kalyan Shivir concludes successfully in Bishnupur

Bishnupur: The three-day Public Welfare Camp, Jan Kalyan Shivir, concluded successfully for Bishnupur District with the final day of the camp held today at Maibram Mandop near Ibudhou Thangjing Temple, Moirang. Over 2,000 citizens attended the three-day programme and availed themselves of a wide range of government welfare services.

Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, MLA Moirang AC Thongam Shanti and Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, attended the camp and inspected the stalls set up by different departments along with Additional District Magistrate Bishnupur, Toijam Opendro and SDO Moirang Chriom Somerendro.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam expressed her gratitude to the public for their enthusiastic participation and for availing themselves of the services offered through the camp. She stated that Jan Kalyan Shivir is a public welfare initiative aimed at facilitating fresh registrations under various beneficiary-oriented schemes, rectifying errors in existing records, and ensuring the timely disposal of pending cases and public grievances.

Pooja Elangbam also thanked the officials of the participating departments for their dedicated efforts in setting up service stalls across all three camps and for their commitment to serving the people.

More than 20 departments participated in the camp by establishing service stalls, including Health, Social Welfare, Fisheries, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (CAF&PD), MSPDCL, Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, District Child Protection Unit, Planning, Election, and MSRLM, among others. The camp provided citizens with convenient access to a wide range of government schemes and services under one roof.
