IRCS Manipur delegation calls on Governor Bhalla

They apprised the Governor about the various humanitarian activities taken up by IRCS in Manipur, including the distribution of relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps both in the hills and the valley.

Imphal: Representatives of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch led by its Vice President, Dr. R.K. Nimai Singh along with its Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan in Imphal Thursday evening. 

They apprised the Governor about the various humanitarian activities taken up by IRCS in Manipur, including the distribution of relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps both in the hills and the valley. 

They also informed that health camps have been conducted to provide psychological support to the IDPs. Blood donation camps have also been conducted regularly in collaboration with various medical institutions. Highlighting their grievances arising out of shortage of fund, they requested the Governor to support the organisation in this regard.

Governor Bhalla appreciated the work done by the organisation and assured to extend support.
