Imphal: Manipur’s IPR Minister Thongbam Biswajit Sunday expressed his heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Thotshang Shaiza, a senior journalist of The Aja Daily.
Shaiza, 46, from Ukhrul died due to Covid-19 complications at JNIMS, Imphal on Saturday (12th June 2021).
During his lifetime Thotshang Shaiza played a significant role in the transmission of local news to the general public and extended solidarity and initiatives taken by the Manipur Hills Journalists Union, said a statement by the Minister and added this untimely demise is an irreparable loss of the journalistic fraternity and has left a huge void which will be hard to fill up.
“I share the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family, may the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” Bishwajit prayed.
