Lucknow: After Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav, Congress General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh In-charge Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too levelled serious charges against the government, alleging that social media accounts of even her children were being hacked.

At UPPCC office on being asked about searches by the Income Tax and allegations of phone tapping, Priyanka said, “Leave alone phone tapping, they are getting Instagram accounts of my children hacked. Does this government have any other work to do?”

On Sunday, SP chief Akhilesh Sunday to levelled serious accusation against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath alleging that his and his associates phones were being tapped.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, SP chief Akhilesh had alleged, “My phones have been kept on listening and are being tapped. Some officials in sycophancy and others out of compulsion are getting my phones tapped. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath listens to few recordings in the evening, so while talking to me over phone, remain cautious.”

Meanwhile, Priyanka termed funds released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for women empowerment in Prayagraj on Tuesday as poll announcement. She said that wary of Congress’ ‘Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon’ campaign, launched to create awareness among women, the PM has made these announcements.

She said, “We gave the slogan of Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon. It created awareness among the women and they are now asking for their rights. Therefore, Modi too has to bow today.”

Raising questions over the intention of the government she said, “Women of Uttar Pradesh, I told you, realise your power. The PM bowed before your power. He understood that women were rising. Otherwise, why didn’t he make these announcements in the past five years,” asked Vadra.

Modi on Tuesday transferred Rs 1,000 crore to 1.60 lakh women self help groups and launched other schemes related to women empowerment in Prayagraj.
