Imphal: On 16 May 2026, Assam Rifles organised an impactful Career Guidance event in Churachandpur District, combining an interactive session on opportunities in the Defence Services with a captivating Weapon Display. The initiative drew enthusiastic participation from 120 students and 12 teachers, alongside 48 officials and troops, reflecting the keen interest of the local populace in understanding the Armed Forces. 

Participants were informed about diverse career avenues in the Defence Services, including recruitment procedures, eligibility norms, training facilities and prospects for professional growth. The session highlighted the values of discipline, leadership and service to the nation, inspiring the youth to envision a purposeful career in uniform. Simultaneously, the Weapon Display offered a rare opportunity to familiarise attendees with the equipment and arms used during operations. The display generated immense curiosity, with students actively engaging with the troops to learn more about the functioning of the Armed Forces. 

The event was widely appreciated by the community as it not only motivated the younger generation but also strengthened civil-military relations. While remaining operationally committed at all times, Assam Rifles continues to believe in youth engagement and empowerment, guiding them towards better life choices and fostering harmony in strife-torn conditions.
